As business owners, we often start our business journey from a single idea, which we work tirelessly on to grow and evolve. Often with little starting capital, we wear multiple hats, and before you know it you're working every hour possible, completing every role single-handedly. It's easy to get overwhelmed by all the new roles you've had to take on. Is this you? You should consider a Virtual Assistant!

A Virtual Assistant can come in many forms. Similar to start-up business owners, we often wear multiple hats. However, there are a few key differences;
A Virtual Assistant looks at multiple areas of your business from the outside looking in. This adds a whole new perspective to your business and allows us to identify new ideas you may not have considered.
I have trained academically to a high level for many years, regularly undertaking Continued Professional Development to remain current with the latest practices and technologies. This is all knowledge that your business can take advantage of without you having to complete many hours of training yourself!
I have 15+ years in practical placement to support my role as a Virtual Assistant, I have worked with multiple businesses and across many different sectors. I have experienced what works, and what doesn't work, having learnt the tricks of how to grow your business effectively!
You can choose your Virtual Assistant based on your requirements and their core competencies. We wear multiple hats, but still have our specialist areas of expertise. My areas of expertise are small business growth, SME's, strategy, administration, physical marketing, digital marketing, business automation, branding, social media and website development, but some Virtual Assistants specialise in areas such as business accounting, business law, health and safety, or industry-specific virtual assistance.
Having core competencies as a Virtual Assistance means that our investments are made within specialist areas, to provide your business with the best possible service within our business niche. As a business owner, it is simply not possible to invest in training and research for every single area that is required for your business, but a Virtual Assistant allows you to take advantage of these investments. I invest as an Associate with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and as a Tutor Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.

It is too easy for a small business owner to get caught up in the mentality of doing everything yourself, but as your business grows, diversifies and becomes more demanding, keeping on top of those fundamental business practices can become increasingly overwhelming. Here are some examples, of day-to-day support a Virtual Assistant, like myself, can provide your business:
Diary Management - Taking bookings, developing automated booking systems, confirming invites and requesting meetings on your behalf etc
Social Media content production and/or scheduling including caption writing and hashtag research to maximise your reach.
Customer care - answering inbound enquiries through email, social media platforms or inbound calls on your behalf.
Production of advertisements for local press or digital publications.
Blog post writing, including keywords and relevant links to maximise performance.
Branding guidance and production of templates that can be duplicated across your marketing and social media.
Website Management.
Newsletters, both physical and digital.
Email automation - thank your customers for making a purchase, or their loyalty whilst cross-selling additional products or highlighting new products.
Project Management - great if you want to launch a new area to your business but don't have the time to see it through.
Event management - everything from digital ticket set up to managing catering suppliers.
Business presentation production.
Data inputting tasks, which are demanding on your time.
Brain-storming strategy.
